🔹 जबलपुर में 500 सीटर कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य प्रगति पर
प्रदेश में कक्षा 11-12 और कॉलेज में अध्ययन करने वाले पिछड़े वर्ग के छात्र-छात्राओं को आवासीय सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने के लिये 51 जिलों में पिछड़ा वर्ग पोस्ट मैट्रिक छात्रावास का संचालन पिछड़ा वर्ग तथा अल्पसंख्यक विभाग द्वारा किया जा रहा है।
विभाग द्वारा प्रदेश के 51 जिलों में 100 सीटर पिछड़ा वर्ग पोस्ट मैट्रिक बालक छात्रावास भवनों क स्थापना की गई। इसके अलावा उज्जैन में राज्य सरकार द्वारा 100 सीटर पिछड़ा वर्ग पोस्ट मैट्रिक बालक छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण प्रारंभ किया गया है। पिछले वर्ष भवन निर्माण के लिये विभाग के बजट में 5 करोड़ 70 लाख रुपये की राशि का प्रावधान किया गया था।
🔹 पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास
प्रदेश के 51 जिला मुख्यालयों में पिछड़े वर्ग की कक्षा 11-12 और कॉलेज में अध्ययन करने वाली छात्राओं को आवासीय सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने के लिये 50 सीटर पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास की स्थापना की गई है। इसके अलावा संभागीय मुख्यालय इंदौर में 500 सीटर पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य भी पूरा किया गया है। शाजापुर में अतिरिक्त रूप से 50 सीटर पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य पूरा किया गया है। संभागीय मुख्यालय में जबलपुर 500 सीटर पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य तेजी से किया जा रहा है। दमोह में एक अतिरिक्त 100 सीटर पिछड़ा वर्ग पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य पूरा कर लिया गया है। उज्जैन में अतिरिक्त रूप से 100 सीटर पोस्ट मैट्रिक कन्या छात्रावास भवन का निर्माण कार्य शुरू किया गया है। छात्रावास भवन निर्माण के लिये विभाग द्वारा बजट में 21 करोड़ का प्रावधान किया गया है।
🔹छात्र गृह योजना
विभाग द्वारा छात्रावासों में स्थान अभाव के कारण प्रवेश से वंचित विद्यार्थियों के लिये छात्र गृह योजना संचालित की जा रही है। योजना में दो या दो से अधिक विद्यार्थियों को किराये के भवन में रहकर अध्ययन करने पर भवन किराये की प्रतिपूर्ति विभाग द्वारा की जा रही है। विभाग द्वारा तहसील, जिला एवं संभाग स्तर के छात्र गृहों के लिये किराये के भवन का मासिक किराया प्रति छात्र एक हजार रुपये निर्धारित किया गया है। पिछले वर्ष योजना में 57 लाख रुपये की राशि खर्च की गई। योजना का लाभ 917 विद्यार्थियों को दिलाया गया।

500 Construction of 500 seater girls hostel in Jabalpur is in progress
In order to provide residential facilities to the students of class 11-12 and backward classes studying in the college, the Backward Classes Post Matric hostels are being operated by the Backward Classes and Minorities Department in 51 districts.
The department established 100 seater backward class post matric boys hostel buildings in 51 districts of the state. Apart from this, construction of 100 seater backward class post matric boys hostel building has been started by the state government in Ujjain. Last year, a provision of Rs 5 crore 70 lakh was made in the budget of the department for the construction of the building.
🔹 Post Matric Girls Hostel
A 50-seater post-matric girls hostel has been set up in 51 district headquarters of the state to provide residential facilities to the students studying in backward classes, class 11-12 and college students. Apart from this, construction work of 500 seater post matric girl hostel building has also been completed at divisional headquarters Indore. Additional construction of 50 seater post matriculation girls hostel has been completed in Shajapur. The construction of Jabalpur 500 seater post matric girls hostel building is being done at the divisional headquarters. Construction work of an additional 100 seater backward class post matriculation girls hostel in Damoh has been completed. In Ujjain, construction work of an additional 100 seater post matric girls hostel has been started. A provision of 21 crore has been made in the budget for the construction of hostel building.
Student Home Scheme
Due to lack of space in the hostels, the department is running the Student Home Scheme for the students who are denied admission. Under the scheme, the department is reimbursing the building rent for two or more students studying in a rented building. The department has fixed monthly rent of one thousand rupees per student for Tehsil, District and Division level student houses. Last year an amount of Rs 57 lakh was spent in the scheme. The benefit of the scheme was extended to 917 students.
