अतिवर्षा की स्थिति की समीक्षा के लिए उच्चस्तरीय बैठक संपन्न
आवश्यक होने पर सेना तथा वायुसेना की मदद ली जाएगी
मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा कि प्रदेश में बनी अतिवर्षा और बाढ़ की स्थिति से कोई जनहानि न हो, यह सुनिश्चित करना हमारा कर्तव्य भी है और धर्म भी। उन्होंने विशेष रूप से भोपाल, होशंगाबाद तथा जबलपुर संभाग में आगामी 48 घंटों में बन रही अतिवृष्टि की संभावनाओं को देखते हुए, जिला प्रशासन को निरंतर सतर्क रहने के निर्देश दिए। आवश्यकता होने पर सेना और वायुसेना की मदद ली जाए। मुख्यमंत्री श्री चौहान ने कहा कि एसडीआरएफ, एनडीआरएफ, नावों, गोताखोरों तथा उपकरणों की तत्काल उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करें। निचली बस्तियों में पानी भरने की संभावनाओं को देखते हुए लोगों को समय रहते राहत शिविरों में शिफ्ट किया जाए। शिविरों में कोरोना से बचाव की सभी सावधानियाँ बरती जाएं। अतिवृष्टि तथा बाढ़ से प्रभावित व्यक्ति डायल-100 तथा फोन नं. 1079 पर मदद के लिए संपर्क कर सकते हैं। नर्मदा नदी के लगातार बढ़ते जलस्तर और विभिन्न बांधों के गेट खुलने तथा सहायक नदियों से आ रहे पानी के कारण होशंगाबाद, शाहगंज तथा बरेली में जिला प्रशासन को आगामी 10 दिन के लिए मुस्तैद रहने के निर्देश भी दिए गए हैं। बैठक में डूब में आने वाले संभावित निचले इलाकों की जिलावार जानकारी ली गई। मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने प्रदेश में बनी अतिवर्षा और बाढ़ की स्थिति की समीक्षा कर रहे थे। मुख्यमंत्री निवास में आयोजित बैठक में संभागवार स्थिति पर चर्चा हुई।
बैठक में जानकारी दी गई की भोपाल, होशंगाबाद तथा जबलपुर संभाग में निरंतर अतिवर्षा जारी है तथा अगले 48 घंटों में भी वर्षा की संभावना है। साथ ही सागर तथा उज्जैन संभाग भी वर्षा से प्रभावित हैं। ग्वालियर संभाग भी इससे प्रभावित होगा। प्रदेश के सभी बांध लगभग भर गए हैं। तवा डेम के 13 में 13 गेट खोले गए हैं, इंदिरा सागर बांध के 22 गेट, ओंकारेश्वर में 23 में से 21 गेट, राजघाट बांध पर 18 में से 14 गेट, बरगी बांध 21 में से 17 गेट खोले गए हैं। सरदार सरोवर बांध भी हाई लेवल से 7 मीटर नीचे है। मण्डला तथा पेंच बांध के भी गेट खोले गए हैं। जबलपुर संभाग में छिंदवाड़ा और नरसिंहपुर में सबसे अधिक बारिश हुई है। छिंदवाड़ा के बेलखेड़ा में 150 लोगों को सुरक्षित केम्प में पहुँचाया गया। यहां बाढ़ में फंसे मधु कहार को सुरक्षित निकाला गया। नर्मदा नदी की सहायक नदियों से आ रहे पानी के कारण जलस्तर भी लगातार बढ़ रहा है। इन्दौर संभाग में सर्वाधिक वर्षा खण्डवा में दर्ज की गई है। सागर संभाग के दमोह, छतरपुर, निवाड़ी भी अतिवर्षा से प्रभावित हैं तथा राहतगढ़ में कुछ परिवारों को कैम्प पहुँचाया गया है।
उच्चस्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक में मुख्य सचिव श्री इकबाल सिंह बैंस, पुलिस महानिदेशक श्री विवेक जौहरी, अपर मुख्य सचिव गृह श्री राजेश राजौरा तथा अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it is our duty as well as religion to ensure that there is no loss of life due to the extreme rainfall and flood situation in the state. He directed the district administration to be vigilant, especially in Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Jabalpur divisions, in view of the possibility of heavy rains in the coming 48 hours. If necessary, help of Army and Air Force should be taken. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that SDRF, NDRF, ensure immediate availability of boats, divers and equipment. In view of the possibility of filling the water in the lower settlements, people should be shifted to relief camps in time. All precautions to be taken against Corona in the camps. The district administration in Hoshangabad, Shahganj and Bareilly has also been instructed to remain alert for the next 10 days due to the constantly rising water level of Narmada river and opening of gates of various dams and water coming from tributaries. It was informed in the meeting that continuous rains continue in Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Jabalpur divisions and there is a possibility of rain in the next 48 hours. Also, Sagar and Ujjain divisions are also affected by rain. Gwalior division will also be affected by this. All the dams of the state are almost full. 13 gates have been opened in 13 of Tawa Dame, 22 gates of Indira Sagar Dam, 21 gates out of 23 in Omkareshwar, 14 gates out of 18 on Rajghat Dam, 17 gates out of 21 Bargi Dam. Sardar Sarovar Dam is also 7 meters below high level. The gates of Mandla and Pench Dam have also been opened. Chhindwara and Narsinghpur in Jabalpur division received the highest rainfall. 150 people were evacuated to safe camp in Belkheda, Chhindwara. Madhu Kahar trapped in the flood was rescued here. The water level is also continuously increasing due to the water coming from the tributaries of Narmada River. The maximum rainfall in Indore division has been recorded in Khandwa. Damoh, Chhatarpur, Niwari of Sagar division are also affected by extreme rainfall and some families have been taken to camp in Rahatgarh.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Police Shri Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Rajesh Rajaura and other officials were present in the high-level review meeting.
